2007 Tempranillo Rosé

The Spanish Tempranillo grape is known for its full body and rich complex fruit flavors. This Rose’ is well balanced, fruit forward and has a dry finish.

The Tempranillo grape is Spain’s answer to Cabernet Sauvignon, this variety is one of Spain’s most respected vines. . These grapes are thick skinned, and very capable of making a deep colored long lasting full body red wine rich in complex fruit flavors.

Tempranillo means “early” in Spanish and Tempranillo most likely earns its name from its propensity to ripen early.

This wine typically has an aromatic, fresh fruity character that often makes it an attractive alternative between red and white wines.

From a small family owned vineyard in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Shasta View Vineyards purchased from their 2007 harvest a very small limited quantity of Tempranillo grapes. We have taken great care from the harvest in the vineyard through the winery to produce this very unusual premium style Spanish rosé. You will find this rosé to be well balanced with aromatic fresh fruity characters that has a dry finish.
